We are indebted to Stuart Attrill, from Droxford St Mary's Church for alerting us to the story of Ross Clark, who was killed on the night of 28th April 1944 at the age of 21 and who appears on our WWII War Memorial Boards and is commemorated in Droxford Church.
Ross was killed on the raid which crippled Nazi tank production in one of the most significant, if costly, raids of the war.
Tragically, he was possibly killed by Swiss anti-aircraft fire. The story of his life and family is below:
